Description

Louie is a lovely dog, and while it will be very hard for us to say goodbye, we want to make sure we do what’s best for him.

We adopted Louie through animal welfare to support our other dog with anxiety. Due to a change in our family, we now have more dogs than we can manage, and as the youngest, Louie needs more time, training (particularly on the lead and with socialising), and attention than we’re able to give him.

Louie is full of personality and energy. He would thrive in a home where he can enjoy regular walks, playtime and continued training. He is very food motivated, so responds well to reward based training. He can be a little cautious around men when first approached, which may be linked to his past. However, with patience and a gentle approach, he settles in well and becomes comfortable.

He’s alert and protective, making a great little watchdog. He can be a barky but does not bite and we’ve found a citronella collar helps manage this.
