Description

We are sadly looking for a loving new home for our beautiful girl Ella due to an international move. We rescued her from a shelter 6 years ago when she was just a puppy, and this decision has not been easy for us.

Ella is around 6-7 years old and is a Staghound/Wolfhound cross with smaller breeds and has the classic gentle Wolfhound temperament. She is approximately 25kg. She is calm, affectionate, and docile. She loves relaxing and snoozing most of the day, with two short walks daily (around 30 minutes morning and afternoon) keeping her happy.

About Ella:

– Vaccinated, desexed, microchipped, wormed and toilet trained.

– Amazing with children. She is very gentle and calm around them (we have brought up our 2 children – currently 4 years old and 2 months old around Ella with no issues at all).

– Affectionate but very respectful of your space, not clingy or constantly on top of you.

– Good with small dogs.

– Can be dominant with larger dogs during play, so we usually keep her on leash around unfamiliar big dogs.

– She can be vocal or give a quick correction if another large dog overwhelms her, but we have never had any issues with aggression.

– Has good recall, however if there is a large dog around she can become too over excited and focused on them, so we keep her on leash during walks.

– Plays rough and can sound intimidating (growling, etc.), but this is simply her play style.

– Never steals or takes food from benches, tables, or anywhere around the house.

– Not food obsessed at all.

– Very chilled and low maintenance at home.

Ella would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can continue enjoying a peaceful life full of comfort and affection. Someone experienced with larger breeds or confident with dogs would likely be the best fit for her.
